“The Collar” Concept Art for an Animated Short

Last semester, I spent half of the semester working on a project other than my thesis. Crazy? Possibly. But I enjoyed giving myself a break to work on something else, and to round out my portfolio with a different style than what I was used to doing. I decided to use Guy de Maupassant’s short story, “The Necklace” as a basic storyline to work from. I decided to retell the story with cat characters set in the 1960s era. I have posted a few of these designs to this blog before, but now that everything is finished, I wanted to collect it all together in one place. Enjoy!
