A Charcoal Fabric Study

Who likes to draw fabric?! I do!! If I may say so, I think I’m pretty good at it. I know that I did a bit of a halo effect with the background, but I intend to go back and revisit that. But for the most part? I kicked this fabric’s butt. I have some thoughts on that: with fabric, there is no preconceived shape like there might be with say, a bottle, a lemon, or a jar. There can only be direct translation with the shape and so your brain simply cannot “assume” what it should look like. You MUST actually look at what you’re drawing if you want it to look right.
